In addition, this activity is also a form of our concern as local residents in the environment around where we live, "said Kanom. Separately, the Director of Construction and Operations of ITDC Ngurah Wirawan expressed his appreciation for the initiative of the local community in conducting beach clean activities. "The Beach Clean Up program movement is a positive movement which we greatly appreciate for being a public interest after the earthquake that took place last year. People have an awareness that cleanliness is one of the main factors of tourists visiting a destination. So, the desire to enliven the area is not only from the managers, but also from the stakeholders of the Mandalika, "said Ngurah Wirawan. Ngurah added, this clean beach movement was a real positive action that had been planned by the local community together with the area manager to embrace each other in keeping the Mandalika area comfortable. Ngurah realizes that as a coastal area, the Mandalika cannot avoid organic and non-organic waste. "We have appealed to the public to be more concerned and participate in protecting the environment. Cleanliness has become a priority scale in supporting tourism destinations, especially the Mandalika, as one of the ten New Bali, "continued Ngurah. ITDC hopes that this beach clean program will become a sustainable program because it is a positive activity to be carried out by regional managers and stakeholders.
