8 Indonesian Riders Triumph in Race 2 of ARRC Round 4 at Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit

The Mandalika, July 28, 2024 – An extraordinary achievement was recorded in Indonesian motorsport as 8 Indonesian riders triumphed in the second race of Round 4 of the Idemitsu FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) 2024 at Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), on Sunday, July 28. This victory underscores the dominance of Indonesian riders on the international stage and marks a historic moment in this prestigious racing event.

In the UB150 class, two Indonesian riders, Husni Zainul Fuadzy and M. Murobbil Vittoni, both from the YAMAHA LFN HP969 INDONESIA Racing Team, secured second and third place on the podium, while the first place was claimed by MD Akid Aziz from the PitsBike OneWay JRT Tech2 Racing Team. In the AP250 class, Indonesian riders swept the podium, with Muhammad Faerozi Toreqottullah from the YAMAHA Racing Indonesia team taking first place, Muhammad Kiandra Ramadhipa from the ASTRA HONDA RACING TEAM securing second, and Arai Agaska Dibani Laksana from the YAMAHA Racing Indonesia team finishing third. Despite suffering an injury from a crash during the qualifying session in the previous ARRC Round 3 in Japan, Faerozi made a stunning overtaking maneuver on the final lap to emerge victorious.

In the SS600 class, Mohammad Adenanta Putra from the ASTRA HONDA RACING TEAM secured first place, followed by Veda Ega Pratama from the same team in second. In this class, Kiattisak Singhapong from the Honda Racing Thailand team took third place. In the ASB1000 class, Andi Farid Izdihar from the Honda Asia-Dream Racing with Astemo team, who secured first place in Race 1 on Saturday, July 27, 2024, finished third, while first and second places were claimed by Soichiro Minamimoto from the YAMAHA TEKHNE Racing Team ASEAN and Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah from the JDT RACING TEAM, respectively.

Chairman of ARRC Round 4 2024, Troy Warokka, stated, "The second race of ARRC Round 4 at the iconic Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit showcased the skill, strategy, and bravery of Indonesian riders, allowing them to surpass fierce competitors from across Asia. This impressive performance is a very proud achievement and underscores the strength and competitive capability of Indonesian riders on the international stage. Today's competition demonstrated the highly competitive nature of motorcycle racing in Asia, featuring not only intense track battles but also captivating attractions for the audience."

CEO of PT Mandalika Grand Prix Association Nusantara Jaya (MGPA), Priandhi Satria, added, "Race 2 of ARRC 2024 at Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit has been a great success and festive. The enhanced quality of the races not only provided satisfaction to the riders competing on the track but also delighted the spectators who attended the event. Mandalika also successfully hosted a vibrant Pit Walk, where VIP Premiere and Grandstand spectators could meet the riders up close."

The event was also enlivened with cultural performances during the opening ceremony. The performances of the Lion Dance and Dulang Penamat Dance at Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit added a unique cultural touch and enhanced the festive atmosphere. Additionally, this session provided an opportunity for visitors to interact directly with the riders, take photos, and obtain autographs, making the experience truly special.
