The Mandalika, September 4, 2026 – Ahead of the 2026 Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia race weekend on October 9–11, 2026, InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) is presenting a new accommodation option for visitors who want to enjoy the atmosphere of the 2026 Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia while also experiencing a stay at The Mandalika. Opening on October 8, 2026, visitors can enjoy the experience of watching the race and staying at the Official Camping Ground, prepared by ITDC in collaboration with PT Shekhara Sekawan Sejahtera, the operator.
The Official Camping Ground will be located in the West Zone of Kuta Beach Park, The Mandalika, and is designed not just as a place to stay overnight, but as part of the visitor experience during their stay. The Official Camping Ground prototype was officially unveiled on Friday September 4th, at Kuta Beach Park, The Mandalika. Its presence also expands accommodation options to support the 2026 Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia, with the concept of an Official Camping Experience that is safe, comfortable, and close to the event area.
Troy Warokka, Chairman of the 2026 Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia and Director of Operations at ITDC, explained that the presence of the Official Camping Ground is part of our efforts to strengthen the supporting ecosystem and enhance the visitor experience during the race weekend.
"As accommodation capacity at The Mandalika continues to increase, we also want to expand the variety of accommodation options for visitors. The Official Camping Ground is not just an alternative accommodation, but offers a unique experience to enjoy the atmosphere of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia and The Mandalika area. We want every visitor to have a more complete experience during their stay here," said Mr. Troy.
The Official Camping Ground offers several accommodation options, from two-person tents and four-person tents, glamping, and campervans. Each type is designed with different characteristics and amenities to meet the needs of visitors. Amenities in each type include basic equipment like mattresses, sleeping bags, and portable LEDs, with more comprehensive amenities available in the glamping and campervan types.
The glamping option includes a spring bed, bed cover, portable LED, pillows, table, and chairs. Meanwhile, the campervan offers amenities such as two bedrooms, a toilet and water heater, a cooler, a microwave, a sink, a Smart TV, electricity, a sunroof, and a domestic electric awning.
In addition to the facilities within each unit, the Camping Ground area also features various shared facilities, including a reception and check-in area, a food court and culinary center, restrooms and showers, a prayer room, a medical post, a communal movie theater facility, a shuttle bay, and an external parking area.
Dian Nugroho, President Director of PT Shekhara Sekawan Sejahtera, stated that the Camping Ground concept was designed to ensure visitors remain comfortable while enjoying the 2026 Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia.
"We want to provide a comfortable and organized camping experience for visitors to the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia. Therefore, we have prepared several accommodation options with different characteristics, ranging from tents and glamping to campervans, supported by shared facilities to meet visitors' needs while in the Camping Ground area," said Dian.
In addition to comfort, the operational readiness of the Camping Ground also takes into account visitor safety and security, from the support of a medical post and security officers, emergency SOPs and evacuation routes, to the readiness of utilities. Mobility management and area cleanliness are also part of the operational concept, through the provision of a shuttle service, entrance and exit arrangements, and waste management.
Camping Ground accommodation options are offered at prices ranging from IDR 750,000 to IDR 2.5 million, depending on the type and facilities selected. Campervans are offered at IDR 15 million. Reservations open Friday (September 4th) through the Goers platform and are available until capacity is reached.
In addition to strengthening accommodation options, the connectivity readiness of the supporting ecosystem for the 2026 Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia is also being strengthened. During the period of October 9–11, 2026, 245 flights were recorded, an increase of approximately 24 percent compared to the 2025 comparison period, which recorded 197 flights. This number of flights in 2026 does not include potential additional flights and charter flights.
