Jakarta, August 22, 2024 - PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia (ITDC) and PT Bali Holiday Village (PT BHV), part of the global Club Med network, have officially signed an extension of the Land Utilization & Development Agreement (LUDA) for Lot N6 in The Nusa Dua, Bali. The signing and exchange of documents took place at the Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta, with ITDC President Director Ari Respati and Club Med CEO of APAC Resorts Jean-Charles Fortoul presiding over the ceremony.
This partnership, which has been ongoing since 1984 is now over 40 years. The extended LUDA encompasses approximately ±14.6 hectares of land at Lot N6 in The Nusa Dua, the side of Club Med Bali, one of the first five hotels established in The Nusa Dua. From the beginning, Club Med has been a pivotal partner in the development of Nusa Dua and continues to play a vital role in enhancing its status as a premier destination.
The 50 years renewal of the LUDA demonstrates Club Med’s long-term commitment to The Nusa Dua. This renewal will bring Club Med's total presence to potentially 100 years in Nusa Dua, highlighting the trust and sustainability of the relationship between the two entities.
ITDC President Director Ari Respati stated, "We are very proud of the partnership that has been established and the continued trust that Club Med has placed in ITDC and The Nusa Dua. This extension of our collaboration is concrete evidence that The Nusa Dua remains the premier destination for long-term investment. We hope that the major renovations planned by Club Med following this signing will further strengthen The Nusa Dua's position as Bali’s Finest Family-Friendly Resort Haven."
Club Med, known for its innovative all-inclusive resort concept, aims to enhance its property in The Nusa Dua as part of an extension of this collaboration. This initiative aligns with the rejuvenation program for hotel properties in The Nusa Dua area launched by ITDC, ensuring that the area remains an attractive destination for global tourists.
"We are thrilled for this partnership extension and are dedicated to providing unforgettable vacation experiences in The Nusa Dua area. The ongoing improvements and innovations we plan are a part of our vision to continuously improve the quality of service and experience for our guests, underpinned always by our sense of responsibility through our committed CSR actions" said Jean-Charles.
With a focus on long-term commitment and sustainable investment, ITDC and Club Med are collaboratively shaping the future of The Nusa Dua. This step not only strengthens The Nusa Dua’s position as a premier tourist destination but also supports the preservation of local culture and economic growth. "We believe that this partnership will continue to bring innovation and deliver exceptional holiday experiences, making The Nusa Dua as a leading destination for global travelers," Ari concluded.
