The Mandalika, 27 Juli 2024 – A total of six Indonesian riders reached podium positions on the first day of the Idemitsu FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) 2024 Indonesia Round at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), on Saturday, (27/07). Among the Indonesian riders who reached the podium were Fahmi Basam, who took first place, and Ricky Ibrahim, who secured third place in the UB150 class. In the AP250 class, Reynaldo C. Ratukore achieved first place, while M. Faerozi Toreqottullah took third. Mohammad Adenanta Putra got second place in the SS600 class, and Andi Farid Izdihar rounded off the day by winning first place in the ASB1000 class.
The competitive nature of the ARRC was evident from the narrow time differences between riders in the first race. In the UB150 class, Fahmi Basam from the YAMAHA LFN HP969 INDONESIA Racing Team took first place, followed by MD Akid Aziz from the PitsBike OneWay JRT Tech2 Racing Team and Ricky Ibrahim from the YAMAHA LFN HP969 INDONESIA Racing Team in second and third places, respectively. In the AP250 class, Cao Viet Nam from the Honda Racing Vietnam Team secured victory, with Reynaldo C. Ratukore from the YAMAHA YAMALUBE RRS and M. Faerozi Toreqottullah from YAMAHA Racing Indonesia taking second and third places.
In the SS600 class, Azroy Hakeem Anuar from the IDEMITSU Boon Siew Honda Racing Team clinched first place, with Mohammad Adenanta Putra from the ASTRA HONDA RACING TEAM and Muhammad Helmi Azman from the IDEMITSU Boon Siew Honda Racing Team taking second and third places. Meanwhile, in the ASB1000 class, Andi Farid Izdihar from the Honda Asia-Dream Racing with Astemo team took the win, followed by Yuki Kunii from the SDG Team HARC-PRO Honda Ph. in second place, and Lachlan Epis from the Evolution Sports Group in third place.
Chairman of ARRC Round-4 2024, Troy Warokka, stated, "I am incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and competitive spirit shown by all the riders today. This is proof that the ARRC continues to grow as an important platform for motorcycle racing talent in Asia. We hope the riders will continue to demonstrate their best performance on the third day tomorrow."
The President Director of PT Mandalika Grand Prix Association Nusantara Jaya (MGPA), Priandhi Satria, stated, “The ARRC Round 4 2024 Indonesian Round races have gone smoothly. All qualifying sessions and the first races of all classes have been conducted safely and without incident. As the organizers, we always ensure that each racing session runs smoothly, and we hope that the third day's events will proceed without any issues.”
The third day, or the second race of the ARRC 2024 Indonesian Round, will take place on Sunday (28/07), featuring fierce competition in the TVS ASIA One Make Championship, UB150, AP250, SS600, and ASB1000 classes. “In addition to the exciting races, as each rider strives to earn points in this fourth round of the ARRC, the third day will also feature a cultural performance presented by the Regional Tourism Promotion Board (BPPD) NTB to enliven the Grid Ceremony,” added Priandhi.
